Join SCAD as an administrative assistant for academic services and support academic projects and university initiatives. In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the academic services department and provide comprehensive and professional administrative support services, including for the associate vice president for academic services and the executive director of academic services. In this high-level administrative support position, you will serve as a professional model to faculty, staff and students through a positive, solutions-oriented approach, as evidenced through measureable results. The administrative assistant extends professionalism and a collaborative spirit to all departments of the university. Duties in this role include working on accreditation and assessment initiatives with institutional effectiveness; recruitment with admission; student matters with student success, registrar, and career and alumni success; professional partnerships with the Collaborative Learning Center; curriculum and academic content for printing and publishing with creative services; and awards and rankings with institutional recognition. The ideal candidate is committed to discipline, honesty and integrity. You should demonstrate advanced project- and people-management skills through operational and administrative responsibilities and the ability to manage tasks that require confidentiality, accuracy, punctuality, responsiveness and agility. A superior editor and proofreader, the administrative assistant possesses exceptional communication and organizational skills as well as the ability and initiative to multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with technology and the Microsoft Office suite is required. You will work as both part of a team and as an individual contributor and should have past success supporting high-level executive personnel.
