To coordinate artist services (catering, transportation, and hotel) and contracts for Flynn-presented events.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

Artist services for Flynn-presented events

 

  • Advance Flynn season and student matinee series and coordinate artists services to include catering, transportation, and hotel
  • Serve as a key liaison for the Flynn Center with artists and tour managers providing clear and comprehensive communications in advance of artist visits
  • Act as the liaison with other Flynn departments and outside vendors in executing the needs for each event
  • Serve as a Flynn representative on show nights as needed
  • Greet artists to help establish a welcoming and helpful environment; provide attentive and professional service from arrival to departure
  • Monitor the accuracy of cast expenses in monthly show reports

 

Contracts for Flynn-presented events

 

  • Assist in processing and management of artist contracts for the Flynn season, student matinee series, and the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival
  • Review artist riders and communicated changes with artists/agents and internal staff
  • Facilitate visa applications

 

Administrative tasks

 

  • General accounting, including processing of invoices and writing/tracking of check requests
  • Fulfill patron accessibility requests in advance to include American Sign Language interpretation and audio description
  • Schedule the changes for the Main Street marquee
  • Perform related duties as necessary

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

 

  • Supervision received from the Programming Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
  • Excellent ability to handle and keep track of details
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Effectively deal with a broad range of individuals and groups within and outside the organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work evening and weekend hours based on event schedules
  • Computer proficiency
  • Interest in the performing arts is desirable

 

*** IMPORTANT*** This position requires a motor vehicle report that shows a driving/license history that is acceptable to the Flynn’s insurance company at the time of hire and maintenance of that acceptability during employment and appropriate levels of insurance coverage. These terms are mandatory and a condition of employment for this position.
