The Levine Music Guitar Department is seeking an electric and acoustic contemporary guitar instructor to teach at several campuses, starting in the fall 2018 semester. Saturday teaching availability is highly desirable.Candidates should be highly organized and have experience teaching students of all ages with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds in both private and group class settings. Ideally, candidates should have a strong jazz background and a Masters Degree in music performance/ education or equivalent experience is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable teaching a wide variety of musical styles, including blues, jazz, rock and other popular guitar styles.Successful candidates will join a collegial team of teachers committed to teaching at the highest level, and will have the opportunity to become a full-time instructor as time, demand, and scheduling constraints allow. Performance opportunities may also be possible for those with strong performance backgrounds.
