SCAD seeks a writer/editor to join the university’s executive initiatives team. In this role, you will write and edit content for print and digital university publications and communications in support of the president’s office, public relations, SCAD exhibitions, SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, SCAD Museum of Art, SCAD Art Sales, human resources, the giving department and the Collaborative Learning Center, as well as for signature events including SCADstyle, SCAD FASHWKND, SCAD deFINE ART and SCAD AT MIAMI. The ideal candidate possesses superior writing and editing skills, including the ability to research independently and write divergent types of copy such as advertising, editorial, web and other promotional materials. You should be able to meet immediate and changing deadlines, work with multiple editors and meet the highest standards of composition. Outstanding time-management and organizational skills are essential, as well as professional knowledge of higher education, an understanding of marketing communications in print, digital and social media environments, and a firm grasp of style rules, including Associated Press style. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in journalism, writing or a related field -Experience using a house style guide -Interest in one or more creative disciplines, such as creative writing, painting, photography or design
