Act as the Production Stage Manager for the Blue Man Group World Tour, including but not limited to the following Key Responsibilities: Show running and Venue – Main show caller – Manage the stage during the run of the show, both in and out of performance – In each new venue, watch the show (where possible with the Blue Man Captain) and make notes on performance and technical aspects, distribute accordingly – Responsible for keeping the calling script updated and making any territory specific changes (i.e. local teasers) and ensuring updates are communicated to both first and second bookcover – Attend notes session post-show, promote discussion and ensure relevant information is communicated via the show report – When calling the show, run soundcheck to include working through any notes from the previous performance, and liaise with the band, Blue Men and sound department to compile a running order – When calling the show, chair Circle Meeting – When calling, complete and distribute the show reports, checking-in with other technical departments on any performance related issues – Run FOH usher briefing at each venue regarding specific show related cues – Oversee Stage Management load-out and loading the Stage Management truck – Liaise with the Head Carpenter during a Load In and ensure scenery is in the correct place to allow the show to run smoothly – Stage Management support for press and gigs where required (including but not limited to calling, props coordination, SM staffing) – Emergency wardrobe cover Communication and Scheduling – Primary point of contact for the Blue Men and Band – Manage the Stage Management department – Liaise with the Tour Manager, Head Carpenter, Blue Man Captain and Musical Director to prepare and distribute the weekly company schedule including performances, press calls and any rehearsal or creative time required onstage – Rota the stage management team and wardrobe, working with the Touring Production Manager to ensure necessary days off – Distribute daily calls to the performers (including transport where necessary) and communicate any changes to relevant departments – Organise the performer sickness/injury cover in conjunction with the Tour Manager – Distribute the show reports – Follow up on notes from the previous day’s Show Report/s Finance Management – Maintain the Stage Management and Props budgets and oversee the ASM ordering, stock levels etc.
