SCAD seeks an Audiovisual Specialist to provide the highest level of AV support for all SCAD signature events. In this role, you will manage the events calendar, gather event assets and work with both internal and external clients to ensure every SCAD presentation is seamless. The Audiovisual Specialist sets up all necessary equipment, works with team members to arrange the appropriate level of event staffing and provides support during and after normal business hours. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and experienced with live audio and video switching, auto mixing on a digital console, lighting control and all hardware and software commonly used for technical events. Well-organized and able to support last minute and special requests, they have proven experience with portable and fixed AV installations, and in training both technical and non-technical staff on how to best utilize AV equipment and spaces. Attendance at internal and external workshops and the ability to document changes to equipment configurations is mandatory. Requirements: • A minimum of five years supporting AV needs for events in enterprise, higher-education, production or hospitality settings • Understanding of Basic Windows OS, MAC OSX, playback proficiency for Flash, PowerPoint, QuickTime, Keynote and other software involved in audio visual presentations • Experienced connecting video conferencing for hardware and software clients. AV related certification is preferable • Hands-on experience installing AV equipment including but not limited to TVs, media players, DVD players, digital signage, microphones, mixers, amplifiers and DAs
