Under the supervision of other members in the department, the part-time Bee Database Assistant’s duties will include: pinning, labeling, and processing specimens; data basing specimens using KE EMu; assisting in packing and shipping loans; and imaging specimens when requested.
– Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required. The position will mainly be focused on databasing and imaging museum collections, therefore, some experience with digital photography equipment and software, and knowledge of data entry is helpful.
– Background in entomology and handling pinned insect specimens is a plus.
