This Intern will work closely with the Company Manager and Program Operations Manager to experience the skills necessary to support the Production Department and Artists at Ford’s Theatre. The intern will learn about the many aspects of company and programming management through activities which may include the following: Arranging and booking housing and travel; learning payroll preparation and accounts payable request procedures; working with the box office; working closely with actors and artists and working to support the Production Department as a whole. The ideal candidate will have strong skill in Microsoft Office and familiarity Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication skills, people skills, strong organizational abilities and writing skills are essential. Fall Applications are being accepted for the following internship to start approximately mid-September and run through mid-November 2019. This Intern will work closely with the Company Manager and Program Operations Manager to experience the skills necessary to support the Production Department and Artists at Ford’s Theatre. The intern will learn about the many aspects of company management through activities which may include the following:

Assisting with the arrangement and booking of housing and travel; Learning payroll preparation and accounts payable request procedures; Working with the box office on managing and processing actor and artist ticket requests Working closely with the Company manager to assist actors and artists with maintaining their overall wellbeing, Assisting with miscellaneous support the of Production Department as a whole. Assisting in reviewing all visiting artist welcome materials Assisting with creating new handbooks and procedures for the coming performance season, as well as other seasonal paperwork. Providing administrative support for the annual Ford’s Theatre gala.

The ideal candidate will have strong skill in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication skills, people skills, strong organizational abilities and writing skills are essential.
