David Zwirner seeks a hard working Data Entry Clerk/Cataloguer to join the gallery’s Research and Client Development departments for a short-term contract of 6 months.
The ideal candidate would possess excellent typing skills, superior attention to detail, a natural curiosity to obtain more information, and an outstanding ability to process and categorize data within a database structure. A commitment to data, thoroughness and confidentiality essential.
The Data Entry Clerk/Cataloguer works between the gallery’s Research and Client Development departments, and is responsible for working with multiple data sources to enhance gallery information. Tasks include:
- Scanning and cataloguing information about artworks from books and other external sources into the computer.
- Processing uploaded information appropriately in the database using gallery guidelines and protocols.
- Verifying information quality by reviewing, correcting, or reentering data into the database.
- Communicating progress regularly to the Directors of Research and Client Development and relevant colleagues on their teams.
Position hours are Monday-Friday, 10am to 6pm, with additional hours as needed. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Absolutely no calls or walk-ins, please.
