Dallas, TexasWe are seeking an individual with experience in Decorative Arts and 20th century Design to join Heritage Auctions (, the  world’s largest collectibles auctioneer and one of the fastest growing auction houses in the world with sales in fine and decorative arts fine jewelry,  luxury accessories, watches, wine, coins, books, manuscripts,  entertainment, music, and much more!  SUMMARY: Responsible for writing basic catalogue entries and to work with CDs to research and write narrative entries for feature items for our wide ranging Decorative Arts auctions which include ceramics, glass, silver, metal-work, sculpture and furniture from around the world dating from the 17th century to the present.  These auction include Fine Decorative Arts, Asian Art, Art Nouveau & Art Deco featuring Art Glass, Fine Silver & Objects of Vertu and 20th Century Design.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, identify, and describe property for cataloguing Write condition reports and assist clients with their condition inquires Write catalogue essays as needed Assist with authentication Proofread catalogs and essays Actively participate in previews and auctions Other duties may be assigned


Bachelor’s degree required Master’s Degree preferred with focus in the Decorative Arts Experience working with a focus in Decorative Arts & Design preferred General familiarity with auction industry standards is helpful


Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel Ability to pay great attention to detail from visual analysis of objects to editing catalogues A lifelong learner Must have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills


Fast-paced Team environment Must be able to lift 40 lbs
