Ford’s Theatre is seeking a Production Associate to support its design team. The Design Production Associate is an integral part of the Ford’s Theatre Design Team. This position performs a combination of project coordination (50%) and hands-on creative production (50%). The Design Production Associate coordinates the production of print and digital projects consisting of multiple departmental stakeholders to foster effective communication and ensure the timely completion of creative deliverables. This position works collaboratively in all phases of departmental functions to conceptualize and produce print and digital collateral, email marketing, and video storyboards. The position is also responsible for monitoring and reporting on web statistics. The position is based in Washington, D.C. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Process Coordination:

Serve as project coordinator for creative projects with multiple stakeholders (such as season brochures, show programs and videos)

Circulate projects to stakeholders for edits and collate edits for design team Build out projects in project management environment Ensure projects remain on schedule by monitoring and managing deadlines and delegating tasks Produce Photo/Video shoot schedules

This position, coordinates, arranges meetings, shares updates and reports on project success metrics to the Digital Projects Council¬–a cross-department group that meets semi-annually to review key performance indicators for all digital projects

Web/Digital

Serve as lead on Google Analytics, monitoring and reporting on statistics related to digital projects Provide support for Google Adwords, make edits to campaigns to ensure Google Grants account complies with Google’s compliance standards Assist with the production of promotional and triggered email campaigns that drive revenue and enhance our institutional reputation

Design/Creative

Create and resize print and online ads Resize posters Traffic Proofs Maintain asset folders Participate in department brainstorming for visual concepts and video storyboarding

Qualifications Education:

BA or BS with a concentration in communications, multi-media, digital media or digital communications or comparable work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of current and emerging technologies in the design and digital media field Exceptional communication and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Demonstrated ability with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Familiarity with HTML, CSS and content management systems Familiarity with Google Analytics is a plus Familiarity with Google Adwords is a plus Familiarity with video production is a plus Passion for history, creativity or the performing arts

Experience:

1 or more years design experience with project coordination; experience in a museum or other nonprofit arts organization preferred
