The Atlanta Ballet Development Department seeks a part-time intern to assist with Atlanta Ballet’s Development efforts. The position entails 10-15 hours per week of work, primarily in the office, but may also include time out of the office/at performance venues.
Responsibilities/Learning opportunities include:
-Drafting appeal letters
-Working special events from pre-planning to post event wrap-up
-Collecting auction items
-Filing donor correspondence
-Other tasks as assigned
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Recent graduates or current students of a variety of disciplines and interests may qualify. Current areas of study or fields of interest include: Dance (and other art forms), Marketing/Communications, Nonprofit Management/Arts Administration, Event Planning, and Project Management. Having transportation and being able to lift 25 lbs. for occasional event setup a plus.
Internships are not compensated financially; however, an intern may complete their internship for academic credit and all interns may take Atlanta Ballet Adult Open Division classes and attend Atlanta Ballet performances free of charge.
This is a seasonal, part-time internship, from 1/7/20 – 5/8/20 (dates are negotiable).
