This includes ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to agreed artistic and technical standards. Experience with projection, LED / LCD technologies and architectural integration, even better. Producers at Obscura are responsible for managing projects from initiation to final delivery and installation.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

Lead a team of Producers and technical talent to shape and manage deliverables and client expectations Lead in development of and production planning for Content Library initiative

Create production schedules and budgets, and ensure Producers are adhering to standards.

Possess a strong ability to translate chaotic information into plan of action Proactively drive strategic workflow to move projects through studio Collaborate with Dept. Managers to oversee projects across all departments Effectively enforce deadlines while maintaining an awareness of simultaneous projects across studio and competing priorities Create cohesion across project teams and maintain a high level of individual contribution / job satisfaction Assure quality of deliverables / installations Schedule and drive internal and client meetings / reviews Manage resource hours and outside expenses against budget Oversee project accounting and contracting


10+ years experience as a Producer in a similar production environment Deep understanding of OD Brand and ability to set a project up to achieve highest possible creative outcome Experience with international shoots and locations Deep knowledge and budgeting abilities Deep knowledge and scheduling abilities Deep understanding of workflow – process and personnel choices Ability to see and execute strategy at the highest level (creative and logistic) Deep experience in creative / technical endeavors to back up leadership in decision making Strong leadership skills to be decisive and guide a team Strong ability to guide client relationships Strong management skills Developer of talent Track record in achieving results Behavior consistent with MSG values


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
