Description:  Responsible for providing administrative and finance support for the VP & CFO and multiple areas within the Finance department.  Assists staff, faculty, students, and external constituents with general finance and student account inquiries.  Creates and manages invoices, processes certain types of payments and accounts receivable transactions, and is a back-up for daily cashiering process. Provides clerical and filing assistance for accounts payable, student payroll, budget, and other finance processes.
Administrative/Finance Support:
Provides clerical and administrative support (handling mail, individual and central filing, answering phones and maintaining equipment and supplies) for the VP & CFO and Finance Office
Schedules and coordinates internal and external meetings  
Maintains schedule for the Finance Office conference room
Serves as an initial point of contact for telephone inquiries and in-person inquiries, including those from trustees, students and parents, staff, faculty, vendors, and visitors
Serves as receptionist for office, greeting visitors, screening and directing guests, and notifying staff of arriving visitors
Monitors Finance and Student Accounts email inbox traffic
Assists with preparation and distribution of materials for board and committee meetings
Coordinates mailings of tax forms, uncashed check letters, and other distributions as needed
Assists with organizing digital files and folders
Performs physical and digital filing for VP & CFO, Controller, Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, accounts payable, student payroll, and other areas as assigned  
Performs other Finance Office projects and functions as assigned
Student Accounts/Bursar:
Coordinates with the Office of Development to process contributions 
Act as back-up for processing student payments, miscellaneous receipts, and distribution of student refunds
Creates invoices in conjunction with the requesting department and administers follow-up on unpaid invoices
Processes student health insurance waivers
Provides basic assistance for general student account inquiries 
Performs all filing and maintains and manages paper and digital file systems for Student Accounts, Accounts Receivable, and Contributions
Special projects, as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree
Two to four years of office management/administrative assistant experience including working for senior officers
Strong computing skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding customer service orientation
Ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure with minimal supervision
Aptitude for working with numeric data and financial data reporting 
High level of attention to detail
Interest in performing arts or higher education administration helpful
Customer service related work experience, preferred
Experience in a financial management setting, preferred
