The Arkansas Arts Center is looking for a full-time grant writer to help maximize foundation and government support during an especially exciting time for the organization. Not only is the AAC in the early stages of the largest cultural capital campaign in central Arkansas’ history, it has the fun challenge ahead of retaining community support with engaging programming and convincing cases of support while the new AAC takes shape over the next three years and beyond. We want a storyteller whose passion for our mission is contagious! This position works to support overall advancement goals by writing grant proposals to individual and corporate foundations and government entities, and by managing the constant workflow of researching potential new funders, submitting proposals on time, and reporting out to funders. This individual will familiarize themselves with the AAC’s programs, goals and financial needs as well as the interests and requirements of funders. This person is detail oriented, organized, an excellent researcher and writer, can interpret financial reports, and interacts easily with a variety of people. This person is not afraid to pick up the phone and call a potential funder to learn more and begin to establish a relationship. Or to ask our stakeholders who they know that might be interested in our case. A bachelor’s degree is required. Previous grant writing experience preferred but other writing background may be substituted. Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent Benefits. Please submit cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
