Position Type: Part-Time, Non-ExemptThe Fox Theatre in Atlanta is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Bar Back.
The Bar Back assists Bartenders by keeping bars and Concessions Department areas clean and stocked and providing necessary support to ensure prompt and friendly service to all guests.Major Responsibilities:
Setting up assigned bar location(s) with ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies. Completing all opening and closing side work as assigned. Maintaining a clean and safe work area throughout the shift. Assisting management in keeping the Concessions in clean and in perfect condition. Stocking all coolers, storage areas, service stations as directed, emptying all trash and boxes from bars and Concessions area thru out the shift. Other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent Must have at least one year previous bar back experience or sports bar, restaurant, or catering operations Must have knowledge of beverage products and bar equipment Must have basic math skills Must have ability to work in fast paced environment. Must have ability to take multiple request at the same time from bartenders and management. Must have excellent communication skills, multitasking skills, and a passion for guest service with a smile List education, special skills, etc
Essential Physical Requirements:
Walking and standing during entire shift Continuously reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, stooping and wiping Remaining stationary for long periods of time Frequently climbing stairs Lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs on a continuous basis and up to 50 lbs occassionally
Must be able to work variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Successful applicants must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening and background check.
