Must be able to work flexible schedule.Position Type: Part-Time, Non-ExemptThe Fox Theatre is seeking a personable, professional tour guide to offer our guests an exceptional experience while visiting the Fox Theatre.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging guests in an informative and interactive manner. You will provide a wealth of information regarding our facility and its history and answer any questions our guests might have to the very best of your ability.
Clearly and articulately provide information to guests in an engaging manner Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Fox Theatre Remain calm, friendly, and enthusiastic at all times Keep the tour moving on schedule Adhere to and execute all safety and security protocols Other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus Significant work experience in customer service preferred Experience with public speaking is a plus Must be able to speak English fluently; bilingual a plus Must have exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills Must have basic computer skills, including email and word processing Must have enthusiastic, engaging, and informative way of speaking Must have the ability to remain calm and collected when dealing with difficult guests Must have passion for learning and willingness to continue to acquire relevant knowledge
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to frequently traversing stair Must be able to verbally communicate with groups of people for extended periods of time
Must be able to work variable, flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Successful applicants must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening and background check
The historic Fox Theatre is one of Atlanta’s premiere venues for live entertainment. The Fox’s 4,665 seat theatre is booked more than 200 performances a year ranging from Broadway to rock to comedy to movies. Private events such as weddings, receptions, corporate events, proms and other gatherings are hosted in the Grand Salon and Egyptian Ballroom. The Fox is located on Peachtree Street in the middle of the city and is on the National Historic Register. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization, the Fox Theatre stands today as a fiercely protected landmark and a nationally acclaimed theatre.
