The Role Liberty Science Center (LSC) is currently seeking a Guest Services Representative to join our Box Office team. The Guest Services Representative’s primary areas of focus will be selling LSC’s portfolio of experiences to on-site guests while providing excellent guest services. The Guest Services Representative will report to the Coordinator of Box Office Sales.   What You’ll Bring You are positive, engaging, and perceptive. Upselling comes second nature to you!   What You’ll Do Provide high quality, ticketing service to all on-site LSC guests, including walk-up customers, institution members, and group reservations Inform guests of the Liberty Science Center portfolio, including all available featured experiences Maintain an accurate cash register at all times and successfully reconcile all on-site payments. Accurately input data into LSC’s customer relationship management (CRM) system Achieve both individual and team-based sales goals while operating within the Box Office’s policies and procedures Serve as an ambassador of our institution and mission at all times Accomplish other tasks as requested   Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to use Windows and the Google Suite of Apps Organized, self-motivated, and dependable Strong team player   Preferred Qualifications & Experience 1+ year of customer service and cash register experience Sales (cash handling) experience; box office or arts and cultural institution experience is a plus Experience with Tessitura or other CRM systems is a plus   Supervisory Responsibilities This position will not require supervisory responsibilities.   Classification and Schedule This is part-time, nonexempt position. The ideal candidate must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as institution needs require. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. The ability to lift 20 pounds may be occasionally required. This position requires the ability to tolerate high levels of noise and to perform extensive public speaking within a fast-paced environment.
