Geva Theatre Center seeks a Literary Fellow from Feb. 18-May 12, 2019. The Fellowship is scheduled around Geva’s new play development programs for established and young writers and productions of Karen Zacarias’ Native Gardens and Marco Ramirez’s The Royale. Duties may include assisting with: facilitating evaluation and tracking process for Young Writers Showcase and Regional Writers Showcase; reading stage directions in play readings; evaluating scripts for consideration; dramaturgical research and/or writing; assisting with Plays in Progress reading series; authoring blog posts and playbill articles; office support and other duties. Reports to literary director/resident dramaturg. Compensation paid on an hourly basis, about 40 hours/week. Small housing stipend available. Ideal for an emerging dramaturg with interest in/experience with African American and Latinx plays, who is looking for experience in a LORT theatre.
