Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator The Arts Management program (AMGT) at George Mason University seeks qualified candidates for the Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator position. The Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for raising the visibility of the Arts Management program internally and externally across the United States and abroad using a variety of marketing methodologies; to identify potential undergraduate minors and graduate candidates and promote the AMGT program. This position will also assist with the design and implementation of development programs and activities and be responsible for supporting program directors and volunteer leadership in the creation of a Friends group. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic AMGT marketing and recruitment strategy; Manage digital and print collateral including creative design and updates; Align and consolidate CVPA and Mason recruitment efforts; Identify, attend and promote the AMGT program at recruitment events; Oversee email marketing and work with the CVPA marketing staff to write, design and coordinate e-newsletters, invitations, and printed and digital materials for Friends group and alumni; Support program directors in developing AMGT Friends group; Assist the Friends groups/advisory councils in meeting their goals of raising scholarship and other funds for the academic programs; and Assist Program Directors with identifying, maintaining, and building appropriate relations with prospects, donors, external community, corporate leaders and financial institutions; as well as internal university community.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a background in the fine arts, performing arts, or marketing related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated office administrative and marketing experience in an academic or administrative environment (minimum of a few years preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with creating and managing social media and print campaigns using the following platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, and LinkedIn – Facebook Business Manager, Hootsuite, and Constant Contact a plus; Knowledge of basic design principals for designing program materials, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite; and Involvement with student recruitment and/or alumni affairs and strong intercultural communication skills highly desirable.
