Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology Services and Support, the Media Services Specialist is responsible for the scheduling and execution of the Museum’s A/V events, the operation, maintenance and benchmarking of all the Museum’s performance venues and technology, as well as the coordination of A/V staff, volunteers, interns and contractors. Schedule permitting, provide tier 1 and 2 technical support and assist the I.T. Support Team in the execution of projects. Specific duties are listed below: Essential Functions: • Coordinate scheduling, staffing and equipment deployment to deliver effective, professional A/V services for over nine hundred events yearly, held in the Museum’s numerous auditoriums, courtyards, meeting rooms, restaurants, galleries, and grounds • Manage maintenance of A/V equipment and systems in all meeting rooms, auditoriums, and other venues • With the Manager of I.T. Services and Support, manage and execute projects to upgrade equipment, systems and venues throughout the Museum, as required • Assist the Manager of I.T. Services and Support in the preparation and administration of the A/V team’s budget; this includes cost tracking and forecasting, staying within budget and the identification, researching, and planning of A/V related projects, including venue renovations, in preparation for submittal to the Museum’s yearly Capital Budget Approval Process • Installing, maintenance and/or repair (either by self, staff, or contractor) of hardware as needed, as well as maintenance of equipment and consumables inventory Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • Three to five years of experience in the A/V / I.T. field managing all aspects of a sizeable A/V practice, as well as executing A/V events • Expert knowledge of A/V equipment, systems and operation • Capable of working under pressure, both solo and leading teams, with a delicate touch • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must have a flexible schedule being able to work extended hours, nights, and weekends, as needed For consideration, please submit your cover letter and résumé to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
