The Operations Technician (II) position leads execution of special projects in close coordination with the Project Manager. The position also performs service, maintenance, and repair work in support of the efficient operation and continual improvement of the Museum’s buildings and grounds. The Operations Technician (II) also provides support to Senior Operations Technician and Project Manager, acts as lead special projects, and designated Museum activities. As assigned by the Director of Facilities, in addition to performing all responsibilities of the Operations Technician (I), act in place of Operations Senior Technician as the Operations Lead during designated activities and on specific projects, or in the execution of helpdesk services.
All Operations technical positions are responsible for such ongoing duties as material management, office configuration services, cosmetic maintenance of the facility, and other skilled and semi-skilled tasks. The position also works alongside Operations technical staff to address shared operational tasks and respond to general building issues requiring coordination between multiple departments in the Museum. The position supports the Museum’s offsite locations, as required.
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours/week Pay Rate: $25.30/hour (starting); $30.25/hour (position)
