POSITIONProgram Associate DEPARTMENTLincoln Center Education OVERVIEWLincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series including American Songbook, Great Performers, Live from Lincoln Center, Mostly Mozart Festival, Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors and White Light Festival. In addition, LCPA supports an array of programs for Lincoln Center Education including its community and family programming. Further, LCPA supports initiatives related to events at the David Rubenstein Atrium, LC Kids, as well as numerous key institutional initiatives and projects. Lincoln Center Education (LCE) enriches the lives of students, educators and lifelong learners by providing opportunities for engagement with the arts on the stage, in the classroom, digitally and in the community. The Program Associate is part of the Educational Partnerships team and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Partnerships and Focus Schools. The Program Associate will assist in providing arts education programming and teacher training to a portfolio of schools that are deeply immersed and engaged in LCE’s pedagogy and approach to arts education. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES-Responsible for all logistics and project management support related to a portfolio of partnerships at designated schools, including serving as primary contact for school staff, managing teaching artist assignments, tracking expenses, handling day-to-day logistics and troubleshooting, ordering and shipping supplies, maintaining master schedules for each school, and more. -Support teaching artists’ work at school sites through problem-solving and responding to questions, liaising with school administrators and faculty members, and solving problems as they arise;-Assist in data collection for research purposes and collecting all student release forms;-Track submission of teaching artist lesson plans and assessments;-Oversee, schedule, and track collection of photo and video documentation of programs;-Collaborate with team members to create end-of-year reports for grant reporting purposes;-Other responsibilities as assigned to support the Educational Partnerships team or the Lincoln Center Education team at large QUALIFICATIONS-2+ years of experience in education administration and/or arts education, preferably in partnership with the New York City Department of Education; knowledge of the New York City educational landscape strongly preferred-Demonstrated interest in the arts and education-Superb organizational and project management skills, with strong prioritization instincts and ability to push forward multiple projects with competing deadlines-Systems oriented thinker; ability to pull together information from a variety of sources into a cohesive format-Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to build relationships and understand perspectives of a variety of different stakeholders-Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort having difficult conversations and working to build consensus-Possess the flexibility required to work with partners in school environments that often have last minute changes and evolving needs-Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings in order to support Lincoln Center Education programs and events-Proficiency with Excel and comfort learning new systems and databases-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience SUBMISSION PROCEDUREPlease submit a resume and cover letter (with salary requirements and outlining your interest in Lincoln Center) to the [email protected] inbox.
