Research & Exhibitions Internship

David Zwirner’s Research & Exhibitions department seeks qualified candidates for winter/spring internships beginning in January 2020. Interns in this department will work on special research projects pertaining to the gallery’s primary and secondary market inventory, estate artists, and research for upcoming historical exhibitions. Qualified candidates for this position should be working toward a graduate degree in art history, or be a recent MA graduate, with strong archival research, writing, and editing skills, as well as curatorial interests. Knowledge of twentieth-century and contemporary art is required.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
– Assist with documenting and maintaining information about gallery artists and estates
– Library and archival research and provenance documentation
– Assist with exhibition-related research projects

To ensure our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 2-4 full days per week. Our hours are 10AM–6PM, Monday through Saturday. The Research & Exhibitions internship is only available in the gallery’s New York location.
