SCAD seeks a part-time sales associate to support the operations of shopSCAD, a unique gallery space featuring the work of students, professors, staff and alumni, and provide excellent customer service to all shopSCAD and SCAD visitors.
In this role, you will support daily, monthly and yearly operations of shopSCAD and drive monthly sales goals. You will process all goods received through QuickBooks Point of Sale Software, and ensure accurate and complete information for all monetary totals in cash drawers. Checking the website often, you will also keep up with online orders, including packing and shipping items in a timely manner.
Additional responsibilities include opening and closing the store as needed, greeting customers, cashiering, answering phones, restocking products on a weekly basis and maintaining a clean store environment.
The ideal candidate is creative, professional and customer-focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities while also maintaining a positive and cheerful demeanor. Superior writing, verbal and organizational skills are essential to this role, as is proficiency with QuickBooks, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
–Bachelor’s degree from SCAD
–Minimum two years of retail experience
