The Web Content Accessibility Manager will manage the implementation of a comprehensive project to bring media assets in the Museum’s content management system into Level AA compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) on a set timeline, to be determined based on scale of project and available resources

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with content editors and other stakeholders to implement workflows, policies, and procedures to assure media assets and other web content meet accessibility standards

Manage web content accessibility projects, including crowdsourcing efforts

Serve as a resource for content editors who are publishing and maintaining content throughout

Update and distribute documentation for guidelines, best practices, and standards for accessibility compliance on, conducting trainings where needed

Continue audit of media assets in the Museum’s content management system (CMS) and work with key stakeholders to refine strategies and workflows for emerging standards

Work with Digital Team to identify and implement tools for supporting web content accessibility and compliance

Facilitate feedback and communication between key stakeholders including content editors, Digital team, IT, and others to ensure policies and tools are available for ongoing compliance with emerging web accessibility standards

Stay informed on developments in accessibility related systems and standards

Develop guidelines and maintenance schedule for ongoing evaluation of web content accessibility

Create web content accessibility reports and presentations as needed
