Weekend Box Office Manager on Duty – Part-Time
Imagination Stage is seeking a Box Office Manager on Duty. The Box Office MOD serves as the primary contact for patron services in the absence of the Box Office Manager, and serves as a back-up and support in providing the highest level of customer service to Imagination Stage’s patrons while managing the daily workflow of the box office.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Box Office MOD’s duties include processing ticket sales conducted by Box Office Associates, responding to phone inquiries, performing box office close-outs, supervising Box Office Associates and House Managers, providing customer service quality control, and ensuring that the box office space is organized and tidy.
Other duties include troubleshooting complex customer service issues, creating an environment that embraces warm, friendly, and efficient customer service to increase sales and repeat business, ensuring compliance with all company financial security policies, and managing work flow within the box office to assure efficient use of associates’ time. Occasional duties might include completing payroll documents as needed, and responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries from the Director of Marketing and Communications.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates should have excellent organization and pleasant demeanor as well as a love of theatre and children.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a box office environment. Experience managing staff and/or schedules preferred.
- Knowledge of Tessitura a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills needed, sense of humor a must!
Shifts generally 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
